Description of Paddling Experience

This trip follows the east shore of the lake from the City of Ithaca and passes lakeshore cottages; the active Norfolk Southern Railroad line; a dramatic rock escarpment; and the Cargill Salt mines. Paddlers need to watch out for motor boats as they approach the busy marinas at Myers Park.
