Myers Park to Taughannock Falls State Park Loop
This trip creates a northern loop with two lake crossings to connect Myers Park to Taughannock Falls State Park. This trip starts by heading north along the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake for approximately 2.5 miles, then crosses the lake to the west heading towards Taughannock Falls State Park. The trip then heads south along the western shore of Cayuga Lake for approximately 2 miles, then crosses the lake to the east heading back to Myers Park.
Description of Paddling Experience
One the east side of the lake, this trip follows the shoreline past a relatively undeveloped area, past an active railroad line at the base of a steep wooded slope. On the west side of the lake, the trip follows the shoreline past historic lakefront cottages and boathouses in a heavily wooded slope.
