Long Point State Park to Sheldrake Park Loop
This trip creates a southern loop with two lake crossings to connect Long Point State Park to Sheldrake Park. This trip starts by heading south along the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake for approximately 3.5 miles, then crosses the lake to the west heading towards Sheldrake Park. The trip then heads north along the western shore of Cayuga Lake for approximately 4.5 miles, then crosses the lake to the east heading back to Long Point State Park.
Description of Paddling Experience
On the east side of the lake, this trip follows the shoreline past the former Lehigh Valley Railroad line at the base of a steep wooded slope. On the west side of the lake, this trip follows the shoreline past lakefront cottage developments.
