Long Point State Park to Deans Cove Loop
This trip creates a northern loop with two lake crossings to connect Long Point State Park to Deans Cove. This trip starts by heading north along the eastern shore of Cayuga Lake for approximately 2.75 miles, then crosses the lake to the west heading towards Deans Cove. The trip then heads south along the western shore of Cayuga Lake for approximately 2.5 miles, then crosses the lake to the east heading back to Long Point State Park.
Description of Paddling Experience
On the east side of the lake, this trip follows the shoreline past agricultural areas and a portion of the historic Village of Aurora. On the west side of the lake, this trip follows the shoreline past lakefront cottage development interspersed with natural areas.
