Dean’s Cove State Boat Launch to Long Point State Park Loop

This trip creates a northern loop with two lake crossings to connect Dean’s Cove State Boat Launch to Long Point State Park. This trip starts by crossing the lake to the east, then heading south along the eastern shoreline of Cayuga Lake for approximately 2.75 miles to Long Point State Park. The trip continues with crossing the lake to the west, then heading north along the western shoreline of Cayuga Lake for approximately 2.5 miles back to Dean’s Cove.

Description of Paddling Experience

On the east side of the lake, this trip follows the shoreline past agricultural areas and a portion of the historic Village of Aurora. On the west side of the lake, this trip follows the shoreline past lakefront cottage development interspersed with natural areas.
