C-S Canal Lock 1 to Cayuga Lake State Park

This trip is an extension of C-S Canal Lock 1 to John Harris Park. Instead of crossing the lake across from John Harris Park, the trip continues south along the shoreline to Cayuga Lake State Park; where it then crosses the lake to the eastern shoreline. The trip then heads north along the eastern shoreline past John Harris Park back to the Lock.

Description of Paddling Experience

This trip passes many cottages and lakefront homes along the gentle slopes of the northern end of the lake. There is significant boat traffic near the State Park so paddlers should take extra care when crossing the lake.
